The ELCZ has been in Zimbabwe for over a century, it has 3 Dioceses which are headed by the diocesan Bishops. Rt Rev N Shava is the presiding bishop of the ELCZ. The foundations on which the ELCZ stands is:

The Creed of the apostles, the Nicene and Athanasian symbols and the pure Lutheran doctrine in accordance with the small catechism of Martin Luther and the unaltered Augustana Confession.
